The Asserson Prize

The Asserson Prize 2019 is now open to applications. If you would like to join a law firm in Tel Aviv which is actively changing the way law in the UK is delivered, this is your chance. The winner(s) will receive funding to enable them to join us in Tel Aviv and be provided with a specially designed programme to introduce them to the range of work that we do, as well as the experience of working as a lawyer in Israel. We are looking for the legal leaders of the future – although prior knowledge of the law is not a pre-requisite. To participate, you need to meet our trainee entry requirements and be available and able to work out of our Tel Aviv office.

To apply for the Asserson Prize, please download and complete the application form (below). You will need to send us this, together with your CV, and a short essay – between 500 and 1000 words – on either What is the point of Law? or Israel – a melting pot: Fusion or Confusion. If you are applying for an internship only, please send us your cover letter and CV.

In the body of your message, please specify which programme you are applying for. Please combine all relevant documents into one file and submit the single file through the form below.

The closing date for applications is 28 March 2019.

Internships at Asserson

Every year, Asserson provides the opportunity for a limited number of specially selected students to join the firm and experience life on the inside. The two-week programme, based in Tel Aviv, allows interns to participate in legal work across our Business Law, Finance, Dispute Resolution and Real Estate divisions, working with partners, lawyers and trainees at the Firm.

Applicants for the Asserson Prize will automatically be considered for internships as well. To apply for an internship directly, please submit to us an up-to-date CV and appropriate cover letter. While the majority of these opportunities are available in June, July, and September, we do consider internships throughout the year, and interview all potential candidates.

“I enjoyed the fact that I wasn't just given theoretical exercises, but rather I was involved in current cases. Sitting in on client meetings was also interesting.”

“I felt I was gaining insight into solicitors' daily work. The culture is very positive and is combined with a team of a quality that is quite exceptional.”

“The work was varied and interesting and the Asserson team are all very friendly and nice to work with. I appreciated that although everyone was very busy, they were more than happy to take a moment to explain something to me or help me in some other way.”

“I would definitely recommend the intern scheme to others. I had a very positive experience on the programme.”
