Asserson’s Planning team works with clients to deliver on their ambitions, whether big or small. We successfully manage landmark regeneration schemes and major public/private development initiatives. We are on hand to navigate the myriad challenges within the planning system that could otherwise frustrate development. And we are proud to have a strong track record in winning on appeal and in court.
The team was set up by Daniel Drukarz in 2011. From the beginning it has combined City firm standards with a determination to be the entrepreneurs of Planning law, providing our clients with a truly dedicated and exceptional service. We understand business. We are open and transparent in our dealings, we embrace straight-talking, and our starting point is that we can always find a way through any and every difficulty.
We get involved in our clients’ projects early on, and with them take the initiative to achieve their goals. Our clients look to us for strategic and long-term input. That’s why we have established a Planning Advisory Board, including one of London’s leading Planning QCs, an internationally renowned architect, and a top planning consultant, to deliver unique assistance throughout the lifetime of a project.
We keep on top of how the legal, political and regulatory landscape is changing, to ensure we know about anything that might affect our clients. If there is a potential roadblock, or an opportunity worth exploring, we get in touch. We understand the challenges of financial viability, the ever changing face of affordable housing, and the nuances of the permitted development rights regime.
Within the team we draw on a mix of private and public sector expertise, allowing us to offer clients unique insights, a broader perspective, and more creative solutions. We are skilled technical lawyers, but also provide pragmatic, commercially-focused advice. Whether it’s negotiating complex section 106 agreements, conducting planning due diligence for a sale or acquisition, or drilling down into the complexities of planning law and policy, on topics such as green belt release, or heritage, we are there to explain, advise and problem solve. Often this means working closely with other professional team members through the life time of a project.
We work with our clients to build their businesses – be they global companies, private developers, or public/private partnerships – and celebrate their successes. Like the projects we are involved with, our relationships are for the long-term.
