With over 40 years of experience in his field, Steven is a leading authority on the management of international commercial litigation and arbitration, and specialises in Civil Fraud and Asset Recovery matters.
In 1979, Steven founded the firm now known as PCB Litigation. Under his leadership, it has become one of the leading specialist litigation firms in London. He has built the reputation of PCB up to a tier 1 ranking in Civil Fraud Litigation in both Legal 500 and Chambers. Together with PCB, Steven has been retained by governmental, national, and international organisations, and has acted for state enterprises, prominent financial institutions, and other organisations in numerous jurisdictions.
Steven was named 2018 Asset Recovery Lawyer of the Year by Who’s Who, and is referred to as one who combines “dynamic thinking with two decades of experience at the forefront of international thinking”. In 2019, Legal 500 singled him out as being a leading individual in civil fraud who is “aggressive for clients’ claims”, and a “great strategist and fighter”. Chambers 2018 Europe ranked Steven an Elite Litigation Lawyer, and in 2019, Chambers selected him as a member of their Spotlight Table, stating that Steven is a world-class asset recovery practitioner and a “very accomplished individual”. He has also been listed by the London Times as one of the 100 key influential legal professionals in the UK.
Actively involved in the broader legal community, Steven has served in a number of important roles for FraudNet (the ICC’s global network of fraud litigation lawyers specialising in asset recovery), the Fraud Advisory Panel, UK’s Commercial Fraud Lawyer’s Association, and the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts.
