Tomer joined Asserson in August 2018 having previously qualified as a lawyer in Israel. Previously he has worked for the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Israeli Mission to the United Nations (New York), and at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem where he taught a course in international law and wrote and published in the field together with Prof. Ruth Lapidoth.
Tomer studied law and English literature at the Hebrew University. He represented Israel at international legal competitions, captaining his team to a semi-final place and ranking personally as one of the world’s top individual speakers. After graduation Tomer launched and coached the university’s first team to the Vis international commercial arbitration competition in Vienna, Austria.
In 2018 Tomer received a Master of Laws from Stanford Law School where he studied as a Fulbright Scholar. At Stanford Tomer was elected Class President, won the law school’s Community Leadership Award, and participated in the prestigious Ignite program at the Graduate School of Business.
In his spare time Tomer enjoys mindfulness meditation and swimming. His guilty pleasures include US country music, European football and Mediterranean food, not necessarily in that order.
