Top Legal Case in 2018 for Asserson

Leading UK legal publication The Lawyer has recognised the case that Asserson brought against the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) as one of the top cases of 2018.

Asserson acted for a group of claimants in the solar energy industry who brought claims after ministers announced a 65 per cent cut to the feed-in tariff, causing UK solar power installations to plummet, working with Blackstone Chambers’ Sam Grodzinski QC, Tom Richards and Andrew Scott. The team was led by Trevor Asserson, with Shimon Goldwater and others.

Cases selected by the leading industry publication are seen as defining the legal landscape in the UK, and inclusion in the list is an indicator of the ground-breaking litigation work that Asserson is undertaking.
