Laura specializes in corporate law and complex art market cases, including multimillion-dollar auction and private sales, restitution of looted art, and authenticity disputes, ensuring seamless transactions and expertly managed conflicts.

Laura has extensive experience in U.S. real estate and finance law, working at major New York law firms advising financial institutions, investors and issuers in acquisitions and leveraged buyout financings, including first and second lien credit facilities, bridge loans, structured financings, intercreditor issues, high-yield and investment grade debt offerings and lenders in origination and restructuring of mortgage and mezzanine loans secured by hotels, shopping centers, office buildings and assisted living facilities.

Prior to joining Asserson, Laura was the general counsel of Sotheby’s France, overseeing all legal matters of the auction house in France, Belgium, and Monaco.

Laura graduated from Sciences Po Law School in Paris (2011) and NYU School of Law (LL.M 2012), and holds a joint master’s degree in global business law and governance from Columbia Law School, La Sorbonne and Sciences Po. She is qualified in New York and Paris.

Laura is fluent in French, English and Italian. She teaches art law at Sciences Po Law School in Paris and LUISS Guido Carli School of Law in Rome

As Laura begins her new position at Asserson, she will manage both French-based clients and Israeli clients dealing with French legal matters from the firm’s Tel Aviv office.
