Anna Rabin

Anna practices non-contentious construction and engineering law. She acts for a broad range of clients—developers, contractors, sub-contractors, consultants, purchasers, tenants, and funds—and advises on all aspects of construction project documentation, including:
- Building contracts
- Professional appointments
- Collateral warranties
- Bank and surety bonds
- Insurance issues
- Construction aspects of development, lease, and funding agreements
Anna graduated from Leeds University with an upper second-class degree in Law with European Law. She trained with Nabarro Nathanson and qualified in 1998. Since qualifying, she has worked for multiple law firms, including Lovells and Jeffrey Green Russell, where she was a partner and Head of Construction and Engineering.
Her expertise and opinions in her specialist areas have frequently been sought by professional press and leading publishers. She is a member of the:
- Society of Construction Law (SCL)
- Technology and Construction Solicitors Association (TeCSA)
Anna has also taught construction law to junior lawyers at the College of Law.
Examples of Recent Work
Anna’s client work includes:
- Lending Institution: Advised a major lender on a £7 million residential development for both social and private housing.
- Infrastructure Project: Advised a JV Partner on its involvement in the Lee Valley Sewage Replacement System, during the tender period and post-appointment as preferred bidder.
- Refinancing Facility: Represented a lender on a £44 million refinancing facility for the development of 8 residential care homes.
- Olympic Delivery Authority (NEC3 Contract): Represented a specialist contractor on intellectual property rights related to an NEC3 contract.
- Mixed-Use Development: Assisted a major bank in funding a mixed-use development, including three multi-story buildings, 1,105 square meters of commercial space, and 90 flats.
- Hotel Development: Represented a North London developer in the construction of a six-story hotel for its tenant.
- Football Stadium Development: Advised football club owners on the construction of a new all-seater football stadium, including external works, parking, and utility connections.
- Residential Construction: Represented both purchasers and contractors in buying or building residential homes on individual plots.
- Renewable Energy: Acted for a company involved in wind turbines, covering construction, operation, and maintenance under a 20-year term service contract.
