Chavah Apfelbaum is an associate in the Dispute Resolution practice specialising in international arbitration and cross-border litigation in the UK High Court.
More notably, Chavah has represented a defendant in a $2bn claim arising from a family dispute. Issues in the case include jurisdiction; asset misappropriation and civil fraud. She has also acted for claimants in a high-value arbitration concerning shareholder disputes and contractual interpretation.
Chavah is dual-qualified and is admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales, the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia.
Before joining Asserson, Chavah specialised in Intellectual Property disputes, in particular, patent (pharmaceutical) litigation and trademark infringement actions.Chavah graduated from Monash University with first-class honours. She is the national representative of Israel for the IBA Young Lawyers’ Committee and is involved in the International Council of Commercial Arbitration.
