Hadie Cohen

Hadie is a Legal Director at Asserson and a key member of the Business Law team. Since joining the firm in 2009 she has assisted clients across a wide range of sectors.

Hadie leads the Asserson specialist Care Team, providing a comprehensive service that touches upon all aspects of buying and selling care homes. She and her team support clients through the entire process from reviewing and negotiating terms of sale to conducting specialist due diligence. 

Hadie’s clients include health care sector providers, established multi-home care businesses and new entrants to the sector. She develops close and productive working relationships with her clients and other professional advisors on the client team, including accountants, tax advisors and regulatory specialists. 

Recent Experience

Hadie established the health care focused team at Asserson. Her recent experience ranges from the purchase of a portfolio of children’s homes to a constant stream of care home transactions, where she delivers sector-focussed due diligence, contracts, and TUPE advice. She has also made employment arrangements for UK technology start-ups and advised on the impact of IR35. 

Education

Hadie holds an LLM from the University of Toronto (2004) and graduated with a law degree from the University of Oxford in 2003 where she was a St Catherine’s College Scholar. She passed the LPC with distinction.

Hadie enjoys cooking and gardening (her lychee tree is a particular gem) and takes whatever opportunity she can to go hiking with her family.
