Simon Weinberg
Simon Weinberg joined Asserson as a partner in the Business Law department in August 2021. He works primarily with tech businesses, focusing on commercial partnerships and contractual processes.
Simon specialises in Commercial Contracts, Information Technology, Intellectual Property and Data Protection.
Drawn from a wide spectrum of the commercial sector, from retail and healthcare to digital, technology and engineering, Simon’s clients have included some of the UK’s most prominent tech businesses, from start-up through investment and eventually exit. He advises on strategy, contracts (customer and supplier), IP exploitation, protection of data, and general business advice.
Recent Experience
Simon has recently advised a leading FinTech platform focused on the consumer vehicle finance market in partnerships with various lenders. He was also worked with an eCommerce-focused consumer loyalty platform on strategic partnerships with tier 1 high street brands.
Other experience has included working with a LegalTech client communication app on key customer agreements and reseller relationships, a leading FinTech payments platform on customer and reseller agreements and leading agile software development businesses on customer relationships and contractual negotiations.
Simon has also offered strategic and contractual advice to a high-growth engineering business supplying market-changing equipment into the packaging industry.

Simon holds an MA Cantab from the University of Cambridge (2001-2004).
He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, travelling, watching sport and (less so these days) playing sport.
