Trevor is Asserson’s Senior Partner. He has been recognised for many years as one of the UK’s leading litigation lawyers.

He has a wide range of commercial litigation experience but specialises in complex cases which are often multi-jurisdictional. He has a powerful reputation for taking on establishment institutions including successful claims against sovereign states.
Trevor’s clients include major banks such as HSBC, JP Morgan Chase and CSFB; multi-national corporations including some of the world’s largest telecoms companies; sovereign states including the UK government and Ministry of Defence; public bodies such as the Football Association, and high net worth individuals including Boxing promoter Don King, Sonja Kohn, the principal defendant in the largest Madoff claim to come to trial in the UK and a number of high net worth individuals including household names in the UK, Israel and Russia.
Recent Experience
Trevor has run a number of public interest claims on behalf of various causes and founded bbcwatch which analyses BBC media coverage of the Middle East.
Recently, Trevor worked for the successful defendant group in the largest ever claim c£500m brought under POCA against the National Crime Agency. He also led the representation of a group of 14 Claimants in the renewable energy sector against the UK Government, seeking more than £200m of damages under the Human Rights Act in relation to changes in renewable energy subsidies. The case was identified by The Lawyer magazine as one of the top 20 cases to shape the legal landscape in 2018.
Trevor acted for a high net worth individual in Israel (as well as for foreign companies). and led representation in a $1.5bn mining dispute and led representation for a former high net worth individual as well as foreign companies in a claim against one of the world’s largest law firms for breach of contract, professional negligence and breaches of fiduciary duty and confidence, worth more than £65 million.
Finally, he was able to set new precedents within the coroner’s court, acting for bereaved families in relation to autopsy

Education
Trevor was educated at University College School and at Oxford University, where he received an open scholarship. He qualified as a UK solicitor in 1984 and was called to the Israeli Bar in 1992 after training with Herzog Fox and Neeman.
Trevor is married with two children and lives in Jerusalem.
